Sturt Gorge RP - Sturt Gorge Trek

LocationSturt Gorge Recreation Park
Description A challenging linear trek along the Sturt River and through the steep-sided Sturt Gorge, which is located between Coromandel Valley and Darlington. The trail offers scenic views, physical exertion and a sense of remoteness and solitude. The Park is a significant geolocical place with evidence of ancient glacial deposits. Rock scrambling and river crossings are required and often impassible after significant rain. The trek is not signposted and detailed topographic maps should be used to assest navigation.
