The South Australian Government launched Linking With Nature - A Trails Strategy for South Australia's Protected Areas 2008 - 2012 (870kb pdf).

Environment and Conservation Minister Jay Weatherill announced on 4 November that an extra $2.7 million will be spent on trail upgrades over five years as part of this new trails strategy.

The South Australian Trails Coordinating Committee has erected a plaque in memory of Terry Arnott at Troubridge Hill, Yorke Peninsula at the commencement of the Investigator Strait Maritime Heritage Trail.

Terry was held in high regard by colleagues and friends across government, academia and the community for his significant contributions to maritime heritage.
